RECOMBINANT CELL AND TRANSGENIC ORGANISM FOR PRODUCING RECOMBINANT PROLINE-HYDROXYLATED HUMAN COLLAGEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel means of allowing to efficiently secrete proline-hydroxylated human collagen from recombinant host cells and inexpensively collecting the proline-hydroxylated human collagen.

SOLUTION: Disclosed are a recombinant cell which synthesizes the recombinant proline-hydroxylated human collagen and recombinant FKBP65, and which extracellularly secretes the recombinant proline-hydroxylated human collagen, and a transgenic organism having this recombinant cell in the body. Particularly disclosed is a transgenic silkworm in which the recombinant cell is the middle silk gland cell or posterior silk gland cell of silkworm and produces the recombinant proline-hydroxylated collagen secreted from the cell as a constituent of cocoon filament.
