<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio tag device and radio communication method in which a detection time of the radio tag device can be shortened and a collision probability can be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A radio tag device 1 confirms whether information is not being transmitted on a wireless network and if it is confirmed that information is being transmitted, a time multiplying a slot time by a predetermined value is defined as a back-off time. The back-off time is set to be shortened as the number of times of transmission attempts increases. If it is confirmed that no information is being transmitted or after the lapse of the set back-off time, a radio tag ID for identifying the radio tag device 1 itself is transmitted to a reader apparatus 2. A beacon frame is received which is transmitted if the reader apparatus 2 receives the radio tag ID, and in a case where the beacon frame is received, communication with the reader apparatus 2 is stopped just for a predetermined period of time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
