A noise reduction structure of a machine room in a refrigerator is provided to absorb noise generated from a compressor, a cooling fan, and a cooling fan driving motor via discharge space parts effectively by forming sound absorbing materials. A noise reduction structure of a machine room in a refrigerator comprises a suction space part(770), discharge space parts(780), a partition, a curved surface(R), and sound absorbing materials(800). The suction space part has a suction hole(500) at one side and a condenser(300). The discharge space parts include a discharge hole(600) at one side and a compressor(200). The partition has a cooling fan(400) between the suction space part and the discharge space part. The suction space part and the discharge space part include a bottom frame, a front plate(750), a rear machine room cover(720), a cover plate, and two side plates(710). The curved surface is formed at an edge portion of the front to be opposed to the discharge hole. The sound absorbing materials are formed at the side plates, the machine room cover, and the cover plate to be opposed to the cooling fan from the discharge space part of the machine room. The sound absorbing materials, whose surface is not protruded to a peripheral plate, are fitted into grooves formed on the side plates, the machine room cover, and the cover plate. |
