<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar light source device and a display equipped therewith, capable of maintaining a lamp in an optimum temperature, even when the number of lamps are increased, keeping it at high luminance efficiency, improving the luminance, and keeping the display disposed in the upper portion free of the influence due to heat. <P>SOLUTION: The planar light source device has three lamps 2 along the side of a rectangular light guide plate 1, and the lamps 2 are disposed along the incidence plane 1a of one side of the light guide plate 1. Each of the three lamps 2 is arranged at a predetermined interval, two of them are disposed close to the incidence plate 1a of one side of the light guide plate 1, and one is disposed remote from the incidence plate 1a of one side of the light guide plate 1, arranged close to the two lamps; and a lamp reflector 3 is set close to the three lamps 2 so as to continuously enclose each of the three lamps 2 with a section formed into a substantially convex form. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
