<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic pavement body preventing the formation of ruts by suppressing the temperature rise of a road surface in summer. <P>SOLUTION: The elastic pavement body contains an asphalt-based binder containing asphalt and an ethylene vinylacetate copolymer, rubber and aggregate. The rubber is compounded rubber containing vapor phase epitaxy carbon fiber. The content of the vapor phase epitaxy carbon fiber is preferably in a range of 5-75 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of compounded rubber.
