<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize subscanning beam pitch and to form a high quality image at a high speed. <P>SOLUTION: The optical scanner comprises: a coupling optical system which includes the light source 14 having a plurality of surface emission lasers, the polygon mirror 13 which deflects the plurality of luminous fluxes from the light source 14, and a coupling lens 15, an aperture plate 16 and an anamorphic lens 17 which are arranged on an optical path between the light source 14 and the polygon mirror 13, and guides a plurality of luminous fluxes from a light source 14 to a polygon mirror 13; and scanning optical system which guides the plurality of luminous fluxes deflected with the polygon mirror 13 to a photoreceptor drum 901. The focal length of the anamorphic lens 17 for condensing the luminous fluxes in the subscanning direction is equal to or smaller than the optical path between the anamorphic lens 17 and the aperture plate 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
