<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery capable of enhancing battery characteristics of the lithium secondary battery since it has excellent life characteristics, its manufacturing method, and a negative electrode containing the negative electrode active material for the lithium secondary battery, and the lithium secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: As to this negative electrode active material for the lithium secondary battery, its manufacturing method, and the lithium secondary battery using it, the negative electrode active material contains secondary particles formed by assembling primary particles, and the primary particle contains a compound expressed by the formula 1:Li<SB>x</SB>M<SB>y</SB>V<SB>z</SB>O<SB>2+d</SB>. In this formula, 0.1≤x≤2.5, 0≤y≤0.5, 0.5≤z≤1.5, 0≤d≤0.5, and M is one or more kinds of metal selected from a group composed of Al, Cr, Mo, Ti, W, and Zr. Since this negative electrode active material for the lithium secondary battery is excellent in life characteristics, the battery characteristics of the lithium secondary battery can be enhanced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
