HYBRID DRIVE DEVICE

A hybrid drive device (HV) comprises an engine (EG) as a drive source and a rotary electric machine (MG). A rotation drive force is provided from one or both of the engine and the electric machine, converted by a transmission and then transmitted to drive wheels. Even if a relatively small rotary electric machine (MG) is adopted, a sufficient drive force can be obtained and the device (HV) can be small-sized. A speed reducer (RS) for reducing the rotation driven by only the electric machine (MG) and transmitting it to a continuous speed variable transmission (CVT) as a transmission means is provided between the rotary electric machine (MG) and the continuous speed variable transmission (CVT).
