PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet device which permits a consumption of a liquid to be reduced by reducing the frequency of execution of cleaning actions to discharge the air bubbles in a liquid channel by restraining air to be air bubbles from penetrating into a liquid introduction needle when a liquid storage member is replaced. SOLUTION: The ink introduction needle 21 in the printer comprises a tapered portion 48 which gradually expands to the base side from the apex 23 formed at the tip, and a straight portion 51 continuously formed in the tapered portion 48, wherein a groove portion 54 is provided in the exterior of the ink introduction needle 21 from the position disconnected from the apex 23 to the boundary between the tapered portion 48 and the straight portion 51.
