PAPER WIPER HAVING SMALL CHLORINE CONTENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that a conventional wiper made of paper has a high chlorine content of≥150 ppm causes the corrosion of a metal part, and also the concentration of chlorine in exhaust gas and scrubber wastewater, and the elevation of dioxin when being burnt become issues. SOLUTION: This paper wiper consisting mainly of wood pulp has a tensile strength in MD of≥0.5 N/25 mm and/or in CD of≥0.2 N/25 mm as and also a unit weight of≥15 g/m2, and is subjected to creping and contains the total amount of chlorine of <100 ppm.
