<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a screen saver etc., to display many pictures simultaneously without requiring high processing capability and to perform a variety of video displays without preparing many video data. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a video display device 100 having a display unit 120, an operation unit 140, a main processor 150, a display control unit 160, and a storage unit 170. The main processor 150 selects one of a plurality of video data 171 before rearrangement stored in the storage unit 170 as selected video data, reads out and processes the selected video data out so that a plurality of partial pictures SM are rearranged to generate video data 181 after rearrangement for reproducing video AM after rearrangement, and reproduces video AM after rearrangement by using the video data 181 after rearrangement.
