摘要 An inner core cowl baffle assembly 100 is disclosed for a turbofan engine assembly (10) including a core gas turbine engine, a core cowl 22, a nacelle 24 positioned radially outward from the core cowl, and a fan nozzle duct 26 defined between the core cowl and the nacelle. The inner core cowl baffle assembly 100 includes a first core cowl baffle 101 coupled to a portion 99 of the core cowl within the fan nozzle duct, and a second core cowl baffle 102 coupled to a portion (21,fig.1) of the core cowl and positioned radially inwardly from the first core cowl baffle 101. An actuator 110 varies the throat area of the fan nozzle duct 26 by selectively repositioning a portion 106 of the second core cowl baffle 102 with respect to the first core cowl baffle 101 between a position in which it is flush with the second core cowl baffle 102, eg when cruising, and a position in which it aligned with the first core cowl baffle 101 to reduce the throat area of the fan nozzle duct 26 to improve fan efficiency, eg during descent, landing or other low-thrust conditions.
