A liquid crystal display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to measure a specific value of gate lines by gate and data lines and to connect the lines with data pad parts to measure the specific value of the gate lines without disconnecting the thin film transistor substrate and the color filter substrate. A liquid crystal display device comprises a thin film transistor substrate, a color filter substrate, and a liquid crystal layer. The thin film transistor substrate is formed with a thin film transistor(TFT) and a pixel electrode, and formed with gate lines(113a,113b,113c) bypassing an electrostatic prevention part(140) on a non-display part, and data lines(112a,112b,112c) for disconnecting the gate lines. The color filter substrate is bonded with the thin film transistor substrate, and the liquid crystal layer is formed between the thin film transistor substrate and the color filter substrate. The thin film transistor substrate includes a glass substrate, a gate insulating layer, a passivation layer, a transparent electrode material, and a contact part(150) for disconnecting the data lines from the gate lines by welding the transparent electrode material. |
