AN ARRAY SUBSTRATE OF LCD AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING OF THE SAME

An array substrate for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to compensate the non-uniform current-voltage characteristics due to the non-uniform channel length. Plural gate lines(202) are constructed to a side of a substrate separately. Plural data lines are crossed with the gate lines and define plural pixel areas. A pixel electrode is constructed to each pixel area. Plural TFT(Thin Film Transistor)s are located at each pixel area and include a gate electrode, an active layer(226a), a source electrode(228) and a drain electrode(230), respectively. The plural TFTs are divided into A type and B type. The A type has the normal channel length(CH(L)) and the normal channel width(CH(W)) between the source and drain electrodes. The channel length of the B type is shorter than that of the A type. The channel width of the B type is narrower than that of the A type. The channel is a portion exposed between the source electrode and drain electrode in the surface of the active layer.
