METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING PRINTING JOB AND FOR PROCESSING PRINT DATA

A method and a device for controlling a printing job and processing printing data are provided to monitor all printing jobs passing a spooler of a Windows OS(Operating System), and process printing data and perform the printing job according to printing information by controlling the printing job when printing is tried. A spooler(140) stores a printing job. A printing control module(130) makes setting for storing all printing jobs generated from an application program(110) in the spooler, transfers a spooling file of the printing job to a printing data processing module(150) and transfers a pause message to a printer driver(160) when the printing job is stored in the Windows spooler. The data processing module processes the printing data with an API(Application Program Interface) corresponding to the printing data by extracting the printing data or information after analyzing the spooling file, and transfers the printing data to the spooler to print the printing data according to the printing information. A GDI(Graphic Device Interface)(120) sets up the printer environment of the printing control module by being connected to the printing control module.
