摘要 A method and an apparatus for detecting signals in an RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) system are provided to implement an RFID reader capable of supporting both of a frequency hopping mode and an LBT mode and construct the reliable RFID system by supporting high receive sensitivity. A signal detecting apparatus of a reader in an RFID system comprises a low noise amplifier(403), a receiver(210), a transmitter(230), a PLL(Phase Locked Loop)(407), a receiver switch(405), an antenna switch(401) and a controller(409). The controller controls a frequency of a frequency signal generated by the PLL, and turns off transmission power in a case of an LBT(Listen Before Talk) mode. The controller controls the receiver switch so as for the receiver to be connected with the low noise amplifier, and controls the antenna switch so as for an antenna to be connected with the low noise amplifier. By using a power value of the receiver output signal, the controller checks whether a corresponding channel is an idle channel.
