PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum brake reducing impact noises generated between an anchor and one end of each of a pair of brake shoes during braking operation of the drum brake. SOLUTION: Between the anchor 26 and one end of each of the pair of brake shoes 22, 24, an impact reducing member 62 is provided for reducing impact when one end is received by the anchor 26. During braking operation of the drum brake 10, one end of each of the pair of brake shoes 22, 24 is therefore received via the impact reducing member 62 by the anchor 26. One end of each of the pair of brake shoes 22, 24 does not collide with the anchor 26 directly but collides therewith via the impact reducing member 62, thus reducing impact noises to be generated between the anchor 26 and one end thereof.
