PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately control the rotating position of an actuator. SOLUTION: A SBW-ECU 40 executes a program which includes a step (S112) of setting a target position count value during IG-on (YES in S100) when there is a change-over request for a shift position (YES in S110), a step (S114) of controlling a motor, a step (S122) of correcting a current position count value when an edge position is detected (YES in S116) and a wall position is not detected (No in S118), and a step (S128) of calculating a backlash amount when the edge positions in the directions of positive rotation and reverse rotation are detected (YES in S126).
