PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device which has high reliability by preventing electric discharge between an electron source and a positive electrode. SOLUTION: The image display device is provided with an image signal wiring 8 and a scanning signal wiring 9 inside a rear substrate 1 and an electron source 10 formed near a crossing portion of the image signal wiring 8 and the scanning signal wiring 9. An electric discharge preventing member 13 is arranged on the scanning signal wiring 9 and moreover, an electric potential supplying member 14 to supply power to the electric discharge preventing member 13 is arranged inside a frame body 3.
