PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tideland soil improving method which enables tideland soil to be hardened to a degree high enough to enable a person to walk on tideland soil, which facilitates construction, which does not cause the pollution of seawater, and which enables the clarification of the tideland soil. SOLUTION: This tideland soil improving method comprises: a step of sprinkling granulated sand 12 of coal ash, carried by a conveyance vehicle 11, on the surface of the tideland 10 at low tide; a step of agitating the sprinkled granulated sand 12 and the tideland soil 10a of the tideland 10 by using an agitating work vehicle 13 which is equipped with an agitating rotor 13a, so as to form a mixed layer 14 which is composed of the granulated 12 and the tideland soil 10a; a step of emitting a jet of an anti-pollution agent 16 toward a surface of the mixed layer 14, which is formed by agitation performed by the agitating rotor 13a, by using a jet nozzle 15; and a step of smoothly leveling the surface of the mixed layer 14 by using a leveling work vehicle 17 which is equipped with a leveling plate 17a.
