<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coherent Doppler lidar that can oscillate high energy pulse and output laser light in a wavelength area of 1.5 μm or more into an atmosphere. <P>SOLUTION: The coherent Doppler lidar has pulse laser of which oscillation wavelength is controlled by injection synchronization of seed light output from master laser. In this case, the pulse laser is provided with a laser medium in a resonator, wherein pulse laser oscillation is generated by entering pulse light having a specified repeated frequency into the laser medium as an exciting light, and the pulse laser light is output from the resonator. The laser medium has at least an area made of Tm,Ho:YAG ceramics, and it is excited by the exciting light, thus outputting pulse laser light with a wavelength of 2 μm band. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
