PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inexpensive components to be used for cost saving of the disk drive motors while they generally incorporate rotor fall-off prevention mechanisms, and further for their miniaturizing, low profiling with improved shock resistance, shock resistant durability, vibration resistance while satisfying the characteristics and reliability. SOLUTION: This rotor fall-off prevention mechanism was achieved by plastically deforming radially inside the hook 13 formed integrally with the turntable 2 after inserting the rotor 6 into the stator 12 and enabling the hook to axially engage to the engaging section 16 of the metal housing 8.
