PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evacuation device used in an emergency evacuation such as an earthquake or a fire of a building. SOLUTION: A rotary wheel 10 is stored in a box 20, and the middle part of a rope 50 which is suspended from under eaves 30 of the building and is pendent toward a ground surface is penetrated through the box 20 in a manner to move vertically. The rope 50 is brought into press-contact with the rotary wheel 10 by a rope press-contact means 60. The rotary wheel 10 is rotationally moved along the rope 50 by rotationally operating a handle 70, and an evacuee sitting on an evacuee supporting belt 90 is lowered to the ground surface outside the building along the rope 50 together with the box 20. The box 20 which becomes light in the weight after the evacuee gets off on the ground surface utilizes force of gravity applied to a weight 170 attached to the other end 150b of a sub-rope and returns upward in the direction of the eaves 30 of the building where a middle part of the sub-rope 150 is supported through a sub supporting means 160. Then, the evacuation device equipped with the box 20 is reused as the evacuation device for lowering the next evacuee on the ground surface. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
