An apparatus and a method for providing a destination call service are provided to originate a call to a mobile terminal when a mobile terminal subscriber approaches a desired destination during commute, thereby enabling the mobile terminal subscriber to reach the destination without passing the destination. An apparatus for providing a destination call service comprises a location checking unit(510), a control unit(540), a calling unit(520), a joining information unit(551), an information storage unit(552), and a web interface unit. The location checking unit checks the location of a joining mobile terminal. The control unit compares the location information checked by the location checking unit with set destination information to determine whether to call a destination. The calling unit originates a call to the joining mobile terminal by the control signal of the control unit and provides announcement to the joining mobile terminal.
