A mobile terminal having a rotatable menu display unit and its operation method are provided to improve user's concentration in selecting a menu and reduce fatigue of the user's eyes. An input unit is provided on one of bodies. A display unit(120) is provided on one of the bodies. An annular main menu display region(121) includes a plurality of arranged main menus which are rotatable according to a signal generated by the input unit. An annular sub-menu display region(124) includes a plurality of sub-menus selectively arranged at an inner side of the main menu display region. A selected menu display region(122) displays a main menu or a sub-menu selected from the main menu display region or the sub-menu display region at the center of the annular main menu display region.
