METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SYNCHRONIZATION OF TD-SCDMA SYSTEM AND APPARATUS APPLIED TO THE SAME

A method for controlling synchronization of a TD-SCDMA system and an apparatus to be applied to the same is provided to perform efficiently a synchronization process irrespective of failure of timing synchronization between a mobile communication terminal and a base station. A base station receives reception timing information from a terminal(S100). The base station compares the reception timing information with a reference timing block(S102). The base station determines whether the reception timing information belongs to the reference timing block or not, and whether a timing difference between the reception timing information and the reference timing block belongs to a system tolerance range on the compared results. The base station resets timing shift field information by referring to terminal transmission timing control information, and transmits the reset timing shift field information to the terminal(S108). The terminal controls backward signal transmission timing by using the reset timing shift field information, and transmits the controlled backward signal transmission timing to the base station.
