PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-resistant release sheet having both heat resistance and high mechanical strength and having resistance to deformation, and affording dimensional stability of a molded product. SOLUTION: The heat-resistant release sheet is made of a polyimide film with thickness unevenness of 5% or less on average, surface roughness Ra of 0.1 μm or less and a tensile modulus of 5 GPa or higher, wherein the film consists preferably of a polyimide having a benzoxazole structure in the main chain.
