<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of detecting abnormalities of a stack with accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: Temperature is measured by temperature sensors 65a, 65b provided at each stack 22. With comparing measured temperatures of a maximum value Tmax and a minimum value Tmin, when a difference of the maximum value Tmax and the minimum value Tmin of the temperatures measured is smaller than a preset value, it is determined that the fuel cell 1 is properly operated, so that operation is continued. When, on the other hand, a difference of a maximum value Tmax and a minimum value Tmin is larger than the preset value, it is determined that the fuel cell 1 is not properly operated and abnormalities have occurred. When the temperature difference measured is above the preset value between the maximum temperature and the minimum temperature of each stack 22, operation of the fuel cell 1 is stopped as there is an abnormality in the same 1, whereby, damage of the fuel cell 1 is prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
