A washing device for a mop is provided to clean dirt on the mop conveniently by forming a pair of washing rollers vertically reciprocating according to the driving of a stepping motor. A washing device for a mop comprises a housing(36) having a mop insertion hole(34), a washing tub(38), a stepping motor(40), a pair of brackets(42), a pair of upper/lower rotating shafts(44,46), a chain(50), a pair of washing rollers(52), a first electric gear(54) and a second electric gear(56), a mixer(62), a washing water inlet(66), a washing water outlet(68), a control part(70), a water level sensor(66a), a washing water inlet valve member(66b), a washing water outlet valve member(68a), and a limit switch(72). The stepping motor installed at the lower space of the housing is driven by applying a current to the reverse direction. The washing rollers vertically moves according to the rotation of the chain to be crossed at the different height of the chain, and removes dirt to be attached to the two sides of the mop inserted into the washing tub through the mop insertion hole on the housing.
