<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing the temperature rise therein. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 10 includes: a transfer device 34; a pair of rolls 58 constituted of a heat roll 56 and a pressure roll 54; a guide member 60 for guiding a sheet of paper from the transfer device 34 to the pair of rolls 58. The guide member 60 includes; a first plate 66 including a metal part 2 and a resin part 64; and a second plate 72 positioned closer to a paper conveying path than the first plate 66, including a window part 68 and a shield part 70. The first plate 66 is arranged so that it can move back and forth in the paper conveying direction related to the second plate 72. A bias voltage is applied to the metal part 62 at a prescribed timing, then, the metal part 62 is located in the window part 68 before the leading end of the paper enters the pair of rolls 58, and moved to the position of the shield part 70 after a lapse of prescribed time from when the leading end of the paper enters the pair of rolls 58. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
