PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dome type switch capable of effectively providing a feeling of pressing a switch, and of being mounted in a narrow region without permitting permeation of water or moisture in the switch. SOLUTION: This dome type switch 10 includes: a base substrate 11; a first fixed contact 12 and a second fixed contact 13 arranged on one-side surface 11a of the base substrate 11; a dome type movable member 14 arranged on the contacts; an adhesive layer 15 formed in a periphery of the dome type movable member 14 and separately from the dome type movable member 14; and a cover member 16 stuck oppositely to the base substrate 11 by the adhesive layer 15, and covering the dome type movable member 14. The dome type switch is characterized in that two grooves 17, 17 communicating with the inside of the dome type movable member 14 and extending in parallel to each other from one end 14c side of the dome type movable member 14 are formed on the adhesive layer 15.
