A connection structure for a wire rope for an elevator is provided to reduce electricity rates and maintenance costs required in operation of the elevator by minimizing power of a driving unit rotating a driving pulley. A connection structure for a wire rope for an elevator(10) includes first and second wire ropes(100,200), first to sixth sheaves(S100~S600), and a driving unit(300). The first and second wire ropes are formed at a predetermined length by twisting a plurality of steel wires. The first and second wire ropes transmit power of the driving unit and move the elevator installed in a hoistway(1) up and down. The first to sixth sheaves are rotatably installed at a support installed at an upper part of the hoistway and convert and guide the direction of the first and second wire ropes. The driving unit is installed at a lower part of the hoistway and moves the elevator up and down.
