PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create still image data as a still picture moving image file that has change in accordance with its contents. SOLUTION: This image recording apparatus has a still picture moving image file creating means for converting still image data recorded in a still picture file format in a recording medium into a moving image file format to be a still picture moving image file. The still picture moving image file creating means has a still picture display time setting means that can set respective display duration of still image data recorded as a still picture moving image file. A display time duration to be set can be changed in accordance with setting contents of the still picture recording means or a temporal condition during creating still image data.
