PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capping unit having a cap part arranged so as to cover a liquid jetting head by coming into contact with it and a holder part for holding this cap part and for appropriately performing a cleaning operation (a recovering operation) of a nozzle by making the inside of the cap part a negative condition even when the cap part is swollen with a liquid, and to provide a liquid jetting apparatus. SOLUTION: The cap part 122, coming into contact with the liquid jetting head so as to cover the nozzle of the liquid jetting head of the liquid jetting apparatus for delivering the liquid, constitutes the capping unit 120 of the liquid jetting apparatus held by the holder part 121 equipped with an expansion deformation allowing part 126 for allowing a swelling of the cap part 122 with the liquid and the liquid jetting apparatus.
