The motor vehicle has a diesel engine, heat transmission device, and a device provided for extraction , storage or utilization of water to reduce pollutant discharge of a diesel engine and connected with the heat transmission device. The device for extraction, storage and/or utilization of water comprises a puffer container for condensation water of the heat transmission device. The puffer container is equipped with a temperature sensor device. The buffer device is coupled with a distribution device, via which condensation water of the heat transmission device is supplied to the engine. An independent claim is also included for a method for extraction and/or utilization of water for reducing pollutant discharge of a combustion engine.
