The present invention relates to an arrangement (2) for a weapon comprising a countermass for reducing the pressure around the weapon. The countermass is enclosed in a container (10), which is mountable in the barrel (24) of the weapon behind an ammunition part, such as a projectile or shell. The container (10) is provided with an openable bottom (12) with break indications (14). A guiding folding support (6), configured as an annular element (8), is arranged adjacent to said openable bottom (12) on the outside of the bottom relative to the countermass container (10). The annular element (8) is provided with a support member (18) for each openable flap (16) forming part of the bottom (12). Thereby, the opening area a 1 in the bottom (12) of the counter mass container (10) is defined by folding edges (28), formed in each base region (22) af the flaps (16) in the open state as in contact with its corresponding support member (18).
