The boring tool (1) comprises a coil shaped shaft (2), a single piece hard material head (4) fixed positively to axial shaft end (3) of coil shaped shaft. The material head has four shanks (5) with cutting edges (6) extending radial in cross shape. The shanks have a tangential reinforcement (7) at the radial outer edge in the axial region of the cutting edge.
