<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly sensitive magnetresistive magnetic head which is composed of two free magnetic layers and has a structure less in output reduction caused by a bias application layer, and to provide a magnetic recording device using the magnetic head. <P>SOLUTION: In the magnetic head using a magnetresistive element, the magnetization of two free magnetic layers are defined as almost 30 to 60°with respect to a medium facing surface in mutually opposite directions, thereby obtaining a reproduction output about twice as compared with conventional way. A bias application layer is arranged only on the surface side facing the medium facing surface, so that the sensitivity of the free magnetic layer of the medium facing side is increased to obtain a larger reproduction output. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
