PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aseismatic reinforcing structure of an existing building capable of installing a steel frame at an opening without requiring troublesome labor, and also to provide an aseismatic reinforcing method used for the same. SOLUTION: The aseismatic reinforcing structure 1 of the existing building has the steel frame 5 in the opening 4 surrounded by pillars 2 and beams 3. A plurality of stud bolts 7 which protrude over the whole outer circumstance of the steel frame 5 and a plurality of cotters 6 for connection which protrude over the whole inner circumstance of the opening 4 are overlappingly arranged in a gap 8 between the steel frame 5 and the opening 4 and the gap is filled with mortar 9. The plurality of the stud bolts 7 protruding from each adhesive plate 16 are adhered on the required positions of the outer circumstance of the steel frame 5 with an adhesive 18.
