An object of the invention is to provide a method for coating a base with a charge preventive layer to produce an adequate charge prevention effect without causing a decrease of the transmittance (degradation of contrast) with a very high productivity, a charge prevention processed film, a polarizing plate using the charge prevention processed film, and a display apparatus. The object of the invention has been achieved by the following method. A charge preventive layer coating method using an ink-jet scheme characterized in that the coated part coated with a charge preventive layer satisfies the following items. a. The area of the coated part of the surface of the base is 0.5% to 60% of the total area of the surface of the base. b. The maximum area of the uncoated part of the surface of the base is 1 cm<SUP>2</SUP> to 10 cm<SUP>2</SUP>. c. The maximum distance between two points in the area of the uncoated part of the surface of the base is 1 cm to 5 cm.
