PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an all-weather type, sliding clothes drying box which prevents laundry from getting wet when it suddenly starts raining and is compact normally but has a sufficient space in drying the laundry. SOLUTION: The clothes drying box 100 includes a casing which has a shielding ceiling 202 and a shielding wall 204 and slidably moves, and a laundry pole extending and contracting in accordance with the expansion and contraction of the casing, in the casing. The casing is composed of a fixed unit 210 fixed to the outside and a plurality of slidably moving, movable units 220 (the movable unit at the end is an end movable unit 230). The movable units are stored in the fixed unit when the casing is contracted. A side wall 232 of the end movable unit is a door and is equipped with a pushing and pulling handle 236 for slidably moving the movable units. A plurality of hook retaining devices having a laundry attaching mechanism for hanging pinch hangers or the like are attached on the laundry pole in a manner to maintain an equal interval automatically.
