The circuit has a processing unit for respectively receiving and transmitting data representing a facsimile from and to a fax machine on a communication channel. Another processing unit respectively transmits and receives the data to and from another fax machine on another communication channel. The circuit is coupled to the machines over a wireless connection, and communicates with the machines over the respective channels that are independent from each other. The data is transferred from one machine to the other machine before the transfer of data on one of the channels is completed. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for transferring data packets of a facsimile between two fax machines by an electronic circuit (2) a system with two fax machines and an electronic circuit.
