<p>Wave soldering apparatus has a plasma flame (15) generating unit (7) between a preheating zone (6) and a soldering zone (9). An independent claim is included for a method for wave soldering workpieces in which they are passed through the three zones in turn on a conveyor (4). The plasma flame can be moved. The plasma unit produces more than one flame. There is a cooling zone after the soldering zone and a flux application zone (5) before the preheating zone. All the zones are enclosed in a tunnel (1) with a controlled atmosphere.</p> |
