A cold leakage preventing structure for a ceiling type air conditioner is provided to block gaps between a heat exchanger and a condensed water collecting panel by mounting barrier elements at both sides of the panel, thereby blocking the leakage of cold in the both directions of the panel and maximizing cooling efficiency. A cold leakage preventing structure for a ceiling type air conditioner includes a condensed water collecting panel(40) mounted at a lower part of a heat exchanger(30) for collecting condensed water dropped from the heat exchanger, and barrier elements(42) mounted at both sides of the panel to be protruded towards the heat exchanger. The barrier elements have upper parts slanted by an inclination angle equal to that of the heat exchanger. Drain holes are formed at lower parts of the barrier elements for the condensed water to flow therethrough.
