PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display which can inform the user of the scheduled time to finish without interfering the display on the screen. SOLUTION: This video display has a video signal processor 32 to produce output image signals from the input video signals, a display to display the output signals of the video signal processor 32, a memory 51 to store the information to specify the timing to display the predetermined message (hereinafter referred to as the timing specifying information), and a controller 21 to control the operation of the video signal processor 32. The controller 21 reads the timing specifying information in the memory 51 and makes the video signal processor 32 display the predetermined message at the timing specified by the timing specifying information.
