PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilizing apparatus for a powdery mass in view of the fact that an automatic apparatus which can thoroughly expose while efficiently stirring a lightweight fine powdery mass such as powdered tea, to ultraviolet rays has not been fully developed. SOLUTION: This sterilizing apparatus for a powdery mass has a cylindrical holding part 3 whose bottom is curved in a semi-circular shape, a rotation axis 17 arranged in the inner space of the holding part, a sending plate 27 projected in a concentric form on the circumference of the rotation axis, and arranged spirally to the rotation shaft so as to send an object to be treated from a back end to a front end through rotating, a plurality of stirring plates 29 radially arranged in a standing condition on the surface of the upper side of the sending plate, and a plurality of stirring plates 31 radially arranged in a standing condition toward a radial outside on the circumference of the rotation axis. When the rotation axis turns, the powdery mass strikes to the sending plate 27 and the stirring plates 29 and 31, and the powdery mass exposed to the upper side is carried in a holding body while continuously alternating.
