PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to more surely acquire his/her desired download data as soon as the user wants. SOLUTION: A broadcast receiver includes a broadcast receiving means 11 for receiving broadcast containing download data and an extraction means 12 for extracting download data from the received broadcast. A download data storage means 13 includes a means for storing the extracted download data. A reception failure detecting means 12 includes a means for detecting a reception failure of download data. A download data acquiring means 14 includes a means for acquiring the download data of which the reception failure has been detected by the reception failure detecting means 12, by requesting the download data to another broadcast receiver connected via a communication line.
