DETOXIFICATION TREATMENT METHOD OF ASBESTOS-CONTAINING MATTER USING CEMENT MANUFACTURING PROCESS, AND CEMENT MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an asbestos-containing matter treatment method using a cement manufacturing process easily and surely detoxifying the asbestos-containing matter using a rotary kiln used for cement manufacturing, and allowing effective use of the detoxified solid matter as part of cement manufacturing raw material, and a cement manufacturing method using the treatment method.

SOLUTION: This asbestos-containing matter treatment method uses the cement manufacturing process wherein the cement raw material is supplied from a kiln inlet 2 side of the rotary kiln 1 with its inside kept at a high temperature atmosphere by a heating means 5 provided at a kiln outlet 4 side, sending the raw material toward the kiln outlet 4 side for firing. The cement raw material of 800°C or higher drawn out of the kiln inlet part 2 of the rotary kiln 1 is added to the asbestos-containing matter and agitated and mixed by an agitating means 12, the mixture obtained is returned to the kiln inlet part 2 of the rotary kiln 1 or to its upstream side.
