The series (6) has a primary part laminated core (1) identical for all linear motors, and two secondary part laminated cores (2, 3), at which magnets (4) are arranged. The cores (2, 3) differ with respect to the dimensions of the magnets, where pole pitch is identical. The magnets of the core (3) have a higher magnet volume than the magnets of the core (2). The core (3) has optimized force effect, so that the linear motor obtains a maximum possible force effect in each position, where iron portion in the core (1) is higher in relation to copper portion. An independent claim is also included for a method for the manufacturing of linear motors of linear motor type series.
