A guide 10 for unit load devices (ULD) includes a base 12, an arm 14 extending upwardly from the base and a guide member 16 having at least one substantially planar guide surface pivotally connected to the arm, and movable between a first guide position and a second guide position. The guide member 16 may be biased to the first position and the arm 14 and guide member 16 may occupy a position recessed within the base 12 when inactive, the arm 14 may be biased to its inactive position and latched in the active position. The arm 14 may be a latch arm and may have a vertical restraint portion 18 to restrain a loaded ULD. Two such guides (10, 910 fig 16A) may be used to guide a ULD (400 fig 16A) into a position between two previously loaded ULDs (200, 300 fig 16A), guiding member self adjusting for variations in the loaded positions of the previously loaded ULDs (200, 300 fig 16A). |
